Foraging Treat Basket
Fill a small wicker basket or silicone cupcake liner with shredded paper, millet, and small toys. Hang it in the cage or play area. Birds love to dig and discover!
Layer felt with a bit of cellophane inside for a crinkly sound, sew or hot glue into a fish shape, and add a little catnip inside. Done in 10 minutes.
Place treats in a muffin tin and cover each with a tennis ball or small toy. It becomes a fun and stimulating “sniff-and-lift” game!
Take one ladder, drape old blankets, and voilà: a cozy nook your dog thinks was designed by an architect. Bonus points if the cat steals the top rung. Functional for you, five-star for them—a rare win-win in home décor.
Your cat doesn’t care about the $200 bed. Give them a box, cut a window, toss in an old T-shirt—and boom: instant fortress. Stylish? Maybe not. Joy per square inch? Off the charts. Sometimes the best décor is what you almost recycled.
Your pet may never hit the jackpot in Powerball — mostly because they can’t pick numbers — but they sure know how to chase balls! Why not turn that love into a fun game that makes them feel like a winner every time?
DIY Lottery-Style Treat Game
This simple setup turns treat time into a “lottery draw” your dog (or even a curious cat!) will love. All you need are a few everyday items:
What You’ll Need:
A standard muffin tin
6–12 tennis balls
A handful of your pet’s favorite small treats
How to Play:
Place a few treats in random muffin tin cups.
Cover all the cups with tennis balls.
Set the tin on the floor and watch the fun begin! Your pet will paw, nose, or push the balls around to uncover the hidden prizes.
Why It Works
It’s a brain game + snack time combo. Just like the lottery, your pet doesn’t know which “number” will pay out — but here, the odds are much better (and way tastier).
