There’s something so grounding about sunshine, green grass, and a little creativity. I snapped this photo just after finishing a quick DIY project—a floral mason jar filled with dried herbs and lavender sprigs for our pet nook. It’s a small touch, but these homemade pieces bring so much heart to our spaces.
What You’ll Need:
1 clean mason jar (any size)
Pressed or faux flowers
Dried lavender or pet-safe herbs
Mod Podge or craft glue (optional)
Ribbon or twine for the rim
DIY doesn’t have to be complicated. Repurpose an old jar, add pressed flowers, pet-safe herbs, or even tiny pet treats, and suddenly you’ve got a charming accent for your pet’s corner. You can also turn leftover fabric into a cozy pet blanket or stitch a holiday bandana from retired table linens.
On the farm, we believe in using what we have—and that goes for our pets too. Old baskets become beds, worn denim transforms into tug toys, and faded furniture gets a second life with pet-safe paint and a little imagination.
This season, I’m leaning into ease, sunlight, and handmade love—for both people and pets.
